The village has entered the North West in Bloom competition for many years. In 2014 we entered Britain in Bloom and won a Gold Award, and again in 2015. Several hard working volunteers have spent months each year getting the village to look its best. Their successes have been gold and silver-gilt trophies awarded by the organisers, but, even more important, the heartfelt appreciation of the people of Shevington for making their village so attractive.
